It is with a heavy heart that after 15 years I have decided to close La-di-da. As you know, I did consider selling, but I’ve spent a long time building relationships with customers, businesses and charities that I just don’t feel comfortable handing over to someone else.

Thank you to all of you that have let me be a small part of your celebrations for so long, some of you have been with me from the very beginning and I now consider you friends.

For some of you I’ve been lucky enough to be there for pivotal moments in your lives, through engagement, wedding, baby shower, first birthday. I’ve even had the honour of making IVF cupcakes and then a cake for the miracle baby.

I’ve made cakes for royalty, celebrities and some of the most incredible local charities.

It’s been a wonderful journey but my health isn’t what it once was and it’s time for me to look to the next chapter of my life.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff that have been beside me through the years, through various incarnations of the business.

Lastly, to my incredible family, I wouldn’t be here without you, thank you for keeping the ship afloat when I couldn’t. La-di-da has been as much a part of your lives as it has mine. My kids that have never known me do anything else and have had to live in a house full of cake for as long as they can remember. They would all rather eat dirt than another piece of cake!! Thank you and I love you.
